evertz.io Completes SOC 2® Type II Examination, Reinforcing Commitment to Security and Trust
This report reflects our continued focus on security and trust
Evertz Microsystems Ltd today announced that its evertz.io cloud services platform has successfully completed its SOC 2® Type II examination, receiving an unqualified opinion following an independent third-party assessment.
This milestone underscores Evertz’s ongoing commitment to delivering secure, reliable, and trusted cloud-based solutions for the media and entertainment industry.
What SOC 2 Type II Means
SOC 2® (System and Organization Controls 2), developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is a widely recognized framework for evaluating controls related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.
A SOC 2 Type II examination assesses not only the design of an organization’s controls, but also their operating effectiveness over a defined review period, typically six to twelve months. An unqualified opinion represents the highest level of assurance a service auditor can provide, indicating that controls were suitably designed and operated effectively throughout the examination period, with no material exceptions identified.
Advancing Trust in Cloud-Based Media Workflows
“This report reflects our continued focus on security and trust,” said Dan Turow, Senior Vice President & CIO. “Our customers rely on Evertz to support mission-critical workflows and protect valuable media assets. Completing a SOC 2 Type II examination demonstrates our commitment to maintaining robust controls that safeguard customer data and services.”
The SOC 2 Type II report covers the evertz.io platform and its core services, including:
- evertz.io Stream — A cloud-based streaming and playout SaaS solution designed for OTT, DTC, and FAST services
- evertz.io Transform — A transcode and conform SaaS service supporting a comprehensive library of video and audio formats
